Yemen
Yemen is a country in Asia. To its north is Saudi Arabia, to its east is Oman and to its west is the Red Sea. It is in the southern end of the Arabian Peninsula.

The rebel Yemeni army units under the leadership of the Defence Minister General Abdullah Ali Aleiwa have asked for support from other protestors to end the 30 year old rule of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. They have accused the President of letting in Islamic militants and al Qaeda gunmen take over Zinjibar which is in the Abyan province. They have asked the Yemeni army not to confront pro-democratic protestors. About 300 protestors have allegedly been killed in these protests.
